Abstract
The geographical sketch and the topographic map are two representations that have the mission of the student from the first grades recognizing the closest environment to the most distant. However, it is a little-discussed topic and teachers are still not familiar with its content and methodological treatment. This article aims to provide Geography and Natural Sciences teachers with suggestions from a theoretical and methodological point of view to work with them in classes. These are part of the investigation project, Theoretical Methodological Conception for the teaching of Geography in Cuba, directed by the Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences.
