Abstract

The need to socialize agroproductive soil management models at all levels, from the producer to decision-makers, is a high priority to extend knowledge of these results throughout the national territory and their introduction into productive practice. The possibilities offered by Geospatial Data Infrastructure techniques (IDE's) and WEB map viewers undoubtedly become very current and necessary tools to exponentially increase the dissemination of knowledge expressed in maps with greater speed, scope and analysis power, accessing them from a mobile phone, tablet or personal computer with data coverage.
The agroproductive classification is the unification of knowledge about the potential of soils in a specific system for each crop; which establishes the relationship between the classification unit and the potential yield of the crop. From the moment in which the possibilities of planting or not planting a certain agricultural species are evaluated, an evaluative activity is carried out, using as criteria its level of adaptability to the 10 most important crops (banana, tomato, beans, coffee, grass, tobacco, potato, rice, citrus and cane), represents a wide range of pedological requirements. The classification is based on the 1:25,000 scale map, and the suitability of each type of soil against each agricultural species is evaluated, according to 4 categories and a modifier according to the local limiting factor, indicated by the variety of soil and specific to each crop, also determining the general category of each soil contour.
