SPECTRAL RESPONSE IN SOILS OF THE SEMI-ARID REGION SUBJECTED TO DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The spectral analyzes have been widely used to characterize areas and interventions in soil management systems. Due to this, there is increased data from the spectral library of soils in Brazil. In order to investigate the effects of management in different systems in a semi-arid region of Bahia, soil samples were analyzed by reflectance spectroradiometry. For this, samples (0-20cm) were collected in a regenerative management system (polyculture) and in a conventional management area (cassava cultivation) in the region of Tucano - BA. In the laboratory, the samples were prepared and submitted to a spectroradiometer, with subsequent interpretation of the spectral signatures obtained. The results obtained showed characteristic features of the manifestation of organic matter, kaolinite and the OH group of the water molecule adsorbed to clay minerals. Spectral analysis was able to differentiate the effects of different soil managements.
